He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Theodore Petesch and Mary "Lenore" Petesch (Faley); his son Brian Wayne Petesch; his wives, Carol Petesch (Campbell) and Lynn Petesch (Latenser); and his niece Jessica Lynn Petesch.
He is survived by: his pets, Saint Bernards, Troy, Josie, Jessie, Bernie, Buffy, Rusty, Muffy, Hazel, Grover, Grady, Sparky and Marley; his children, Sarah Ring (Rick) and Matthew Petesch (Tina); his brother Kevin Petesch (Vonnie); his grandchildren, Katelynn, Morgan, Ryan and Ben; his stepchildren, Gary Pape (Jennifer) and Jennifer Chaudhry (Omar); his stepgrandchildren, Gary Jr., Joshua, Emily (Ethan), Kevin and Zayan; his close friend DeEtt Bergfeld; and his caregivers, MercyOne and Luther Manor. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
