Duane I. Kruse Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane I. Kruse of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on December 22, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Kruse and Emma Kruse (Dausener); his siblings, Elmer (Ruth) and Donna; his sister-in-law Sue Kraus; and his parents-in-law, Joe and Christina Kraus (Wilwert).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Kraus of Dubuque; his children, Ellen Olson (John) of Vinton, IA, Karl, Diane (Kleis), Mark, Lynne (Hardin) and Anne Mitchell (Kirk) of Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Ben Olson (Amy), Maria Mennenga (Scott), Emily Zweigart (Joey), Brad Kruse, Kelsey Coaldrake (Justin), Scott Kruse (Claire), Carson Kruse (Abby), Will, Connor, Evan and Emma Kruse; his great grandchildren, Madeline, Wesley, Nolan, Beau, Graham, Addy and Kollyns; his sister Myrtle Kaiser of Cuba City, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Kraus, Willie Kraus (Norma), Elaine Hildebrand, Cheryl Kraus, Ireneus Kaiser, Larry Nauman (Jean), Tom Hildebrand and John Kraus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of gifts and flowers, memorials may be made to the Duane I. Kruse Memorial Fund.
