It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Cotant of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on January 19, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Myers and Bertha Myers (Drilling); her husband James Cotant; her siblings, Esther Myers, Mary DeSloover, Betty Sieverding, Frances Kress, Marilyn Hoffmann, Leonard Myers and Albert Myers; and her siblings-in-law, Bernard DeSloover, Tony Sieverding, Carl Hoffmann, Ralph Wieling and Marlene Myers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Doris Kintzle (Mike) of Dubuque, Barbara Then (Ronald) of Placid and Judy Welter (Bernie) of Dubuque; her sisters, Magdalen Wieling of New Hampton, Dee Myers (Dubuque) and Elaine Hill of Peru, IL; and her siblings-in-law, Paul Kress of Dubuque and Alice Myers of Cresco. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (2001 St Joseph St, Dubuque, IA 52001). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
