She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Brooks and Eunice Brooks (Kartman); her former husband Joe Jacobsmeier; her parents-in-law, Gregory and Mary Jacobsmeier; her brother Mark Brooks; her siblings-in-law, David Lamour, Bernard Jacobsmeier, Jim Everland, Bernice Williamson and Ginger Naderman (Agnes); and her grandmother Lela Kartman.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Jacobsmeier; her children, Ron Jacobsmeier (Sue Rudiger) and Dawn Knockel (Jon Dudik); her granddaughters, Alyssa Schmidt (Andrew), Linzy Knockel (Dillon Schaller), Emily Jacobs (Christian), Natalie Jacobsmeier and Amanda Knockel; her stepgrandsons, Tanner and Bryce Rudiger; her great grandchildren, Hayden Jacobsmeier, Remington, Eli, Ivy, River Jacobs, Parker, Riley and Briggs Schmidt; her siblings, Barb Everland, Ron Brooks (Judy) and Tom Brooks (Molly); and her brother-in-law John Jacobsmeier (Judy).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Dubuque Food Pantry in memory of Donna.
