It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Lau of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Lau and Mabel Lau (Crandal); his brother Dale Lau; and his sister-in-law Carol J. Lau of Green Valley, AZ.. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Lau (Donovan); his children, Marianne Lytle (Thomas) of Dubuque, David Lau (Susan) of Dubuque and Karen Lau of Dubuque; his granddaughters, Lindsay Drew (Jesse), Abbey Lytle (Brad Van Weelden), Stephanie Aleshire (Adam) and Ashley Lau (Matt Lester) of Dubuque; his great grandchildren, Eva, Presley, Waylon, Landry, Willow and Odin; his nephews, Mark Lau (Jamie) of Kerrville, TX and Dan Lau; his niece Ann Hatch (Gregg) of Orem, UT; his sister-in-law Ann Donovan Panek; his nieces and nephews, Robert Panek of Southern California, Annette Dee of Southern California, Lisa Francese of Southern California, Melinda Panek of Southern California and David Panek of Southern California; and his caregivers, Diane, Jamie and Brian Sullivan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (1755 Delhi St, Dubuque, IA 52001). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers or plants, a Donald Lau Memorial Fund has been established.
