He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Banfield and Margaret Banfield (Swift); his brother Tom; his sisters-in-law, Joyce Banfield, Genevieve Roling (Merlin) and Dorothy Kaiser; his nephews, Shane Droessler and Tyler Runde; and his great-nephew Warren Henschel.
He is survived by: his wife Jayne M. Kaiser of Dubuque; his children, Klint Banfield (Theresa) of Dubuque, Jason Banfield of Seymour, MO and Nadine DeBoer (Mike) of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Jesse Banfield and Taylor Banfield; his siblings, Mike Banfield of Dubuque, Sandra Miller of Rapid City, SD and Mary Jo Droessler (Keith) of Cuba City, WI; his goddaughters, Liz Murphy, Melissa Banfield and Kay Kass; and his pet Shadow. He is also survived by many close friends that he loved like his own children and grandchildren.
