He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Garner and Mildred Garner; his grandson Sidney Garner; his sisters, Judith Stoneking (Carl) and Diane Courtright (Calvin); and his siblings-in-law, Floyd Berendes and Janet Garner.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jo Garner; his children, Kerry Garner, Donald Garner and Aaron Garner; his grandchildren, Zac Shepard, Lucas, Jackson Garner, Lexi Van Schyndel, Paige Hibbard (Dylan) and Owen Garner; his great grandchildren, Gage, Melody and Graham; and his siblings, Jean Berendes, Jerry Garner (Penni), James Garner (Mary), Daniel Garner (Judy) and David Garner (Kathe).
Don volunteered at community Christmas dinners, drove people to doctor appointments, delivered meals to the shut-in during COVID, stocked shelves at the Lakewood Food Pantry and helped with area fundraisers as a member of the local Parrot Head Club.
