It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Rains Mc Cubbin Jr. of Dubuque, Iowa, born in Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on May 1, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David McCubbin and Viola McCubbin Sr. (Petersen); and his siblings, Robert, Guy, Paul, Florence Hansen and Marilyn Homer.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Freetly; his children, Charlene Behrens of Grand Junction, CO, Lynn McCubbin of Dubuque, IA and Jeffrey McCubbin (Jennifer) of Campbellsburg, KY; and his grandchildren, Kurt Behrens, Stephanie Reece, Troy Behrens, Kendra Viteri-Lynn and Cohen McCubbin.

Memorials may go to Billy Graham's Samaritan Purse.
