He is survived by: his wife Carole Sue Wilberding; his children, Michael J. Welu of Dubuque, IA, Julie Frommelt (Stephen) of Dubuque, IA and Jane Schollmeyer (Vance) of Dubuque, IA; his grandchildren, Marcus H. Welu of Washington, D. C., Evan H. Welu of San Diego, CA, Amanda K. Frommelt of Chicago, IL, Nicholas D. Frommelt of Bettendorf, IA, Amber C. Miller (Cory) of Pleasant Hill, IA, Dr. Allison M. Schollmeyer of Osceloa, IA and Emily A. Schollmeyer of Sparta, WI; his great grandchild Brady V. Miller; and his siblings, Joan McGehe (Doug) and Richard Welu (Dixie).
