He is survived by: his wife Margaret Gaherty of Dubuque, IA; his children, Bob Ehlers (Irene) of Dubuque, IA, Ron Ehlers, Mary Doty (Dale) of East Dubuque, IL and Jody Dean of Dubuque, IA; and his grandchildren, Kelly, Brian, Ryan, Derek, Nicole, Matt and Perry. He is also survived by his family and friends.
