He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Elenz and Mildred Elenz (Rausch); his parents-in-law, Harry and Starla Schuster; his nephew Nicholas Elenz; and his sister-in-law Aimee Oeter.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Schuster of Dubuque; his brothers, Gary Elenz (Jay) of Kansas City, MO, Mark Elenz (Clara) of Dubuque, Dennis Elenz of Peosta, Nick Elenz (Anne) of Glendale, AZ and Leon Elenz of Peosta; and his in-laws, Barbara Maiers (James) of Dubuque and Jeffrey Schuster of Bucharest, Romania.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Xavier Basilica and Hospice of Dubuque.
