It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Pfiffner of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on December 12, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darlene Pfiffner to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Friedell and Marie Friedell (Zugenbuehler); her siblings, Rev. John Friedell, Rose Mary McGovern (John), Lois Burds (Bill) and Anita Uebelhart; and her siblings-in-law, William Hannan, Keith Anwar and Irma Pfiffner.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Pfiffner; her children, Christian Pfiffner (Dee) of Reno, NV, Rachel Olson (Scott) of Hillsdale, NJ, Mark Pfiffner of Dubuque and Paula Mason (Brad) of Ridgewood, NJ; her grandchildren, Robert Olson, Grace Olson, Bennett Mason, Grant Mason and Reed Mason; her brother Rev. Ronald Friedell; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Hannan, Connie Anwar-Pfiffner, Mary Kay Sisler (Don) and Tom Pfiffner.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (4300 Asbury Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Hospice of Dubuque. Keep Darlene "Mert"'s legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
