He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Heber and Dorothy Heber (Heri); his mother-in-law Sue Merfeld; and his sister-in-law Iris Merfeld. He is survived by: his wife Tresa Merfeld; his children, Mark Heber (Destiny Taylor) of DeWitt and Megan Heber (Javon Duarte) of Coralville; his sisters, Sue, Joan and Linda; his aunt Eileen Duehr; and his parents-in-law, Eldon Merfeld (Connie), Jay Merfeld (Angel Schiffer), Brett Merfeld (Julie), Jenifer Pickel (Ed) and Tom Merfeld. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a Daniel L. Heber Memorial Fund has been established.
