She is survived by: her children, Kevin Behnke of Epworth, Karen Kauder (Phil) of Cascade and Kim Shird (Mike) of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Katelyn McDermott (Mitchel), Mariah, Preston Kauder and Ainsley Shird; her great grandchildren, Layla, Ivy and Alana McDermott; her sister-in-law Lanae Behnke of Dubuque; her niece Melissa Behnke; and also Jameel.

In lieu of flowers, a Carol A. Behnke Memorial Fund has been established.
