She was predeceased by: her parents, William O. Amend and Anna M. Amend (Vesley); her in-laws, Kenneth Amend (Iris), Bernard Amend (Jane), Anna Mary Tice (Fred), Reginia Arndt (Rube), Cecilia Coyle, Aileen Pynnonen (Oscar), Norbert Amend (Casey), Rita Bescup (Ken), John Amend and Larry Amend (Martha); and her parents-in-law, Merlyn and Jean Schroeder.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Schroeder of Dubuque; her children, Sgt. 1st Class (Ret.) William Schroeder (Angie) of Live Oak, TX and Heather Schroeder of Dubuque; her sister-in-law Patti Amend of Tucson, AZ; and her close friends, Patricia "Pat" Friedman and Karen Michels. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
