He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Langkamp and Emma Langkamp (Launspach); and his brother Leonard (Delores). He is survived by: his sister Shirley Chapman of Dubuque; and his brother-in-law James Chapman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
