She was predeceased by: her parents, Mayme M. Schumacher (Wilhelm) and John G. Schumacher (Jack); her siblings, John Jr. (Jackie), Walter, Rose M. Pixler and June L. Herzberg; her siblings-in-law, Loreen Lewis-Digmann, Vida Lewis-Shireman, Marla Lewis-Nelson, Howard Pixler, William Lewis, Charles Lewis, Alfred Digmann, Bernard Shireman and Richard Nelson; and her cousin Ralph Woelk (Whitey).
She is survived by: her husband James Lewis; her children, Dianne Lewis-Engling, Laure Lewis, Carl Engling and Tim Schneider; her grandchildren, Morgan Engling, T. J. Dinkelman of Germany, Lauren Engling-Kapraun, Mark Kapraun of Roscoe, IL and Alexander Engling of Dubuque; and her great grandchildren, James, Hunter, Jack, Theodore and Morgan.
A memorial fund has been established.
