He is survived by: his daughter Maria Elena Eakins of Oskaloosa; his grandchildren, Chastity McNabb (Chris) of Bloomfield and Robert Carter of Oskaloosa; his great grandchildren, Alexis McNabb, Elizabeth McNabb, Matthew McNabb and Elizabeth McNamar; and his siblings, Betty Helmick of Marion, Bill Eakins (Janice) of Pulaski, Dave Eakins (Cindy) of Bloomfield, Jack Eakins (Red) of Bloomfield and Gary Eakins (Sheryl) of Elkhart.
