She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Oren and Isal Cook Forsythe; her grandchildren, Katie Duffield and Angel Hougland; her children-in-law, Pat O'Brien and Dwight Hougland; and her siblings, Glennis Henderson, Gerald Forsythe and Trenton Forsythe.
She is survived by: her children, Michael O'Brien of Corydon, David O'Brien (Nita) of Drakesville, Diana Olinger (Paul) of Ottumwa, Susan Hougland of Drakesville and Robin Licht (Noel) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her sister Barbara Cantrell (Wayne) of Drakesville; and her sisters-in-law, Nina Forsythe of Bloomfield and Ida Forsythe Piper of Drakesville. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Drakesville Cemetery and the Drakesville Park.
