He was predeceased by : his parents, Wray Puffer and Ona Martin Bassett; his siblings, Karen Harris, Sherrell Stigler and Larry Dean Bassett; and his brothers-in-law, Joe Harris and James Andrews.
He is survived by : his former life partner Gail White; his wife Stephanie Swaim; his son Wade Bassett (Lisa) of Albia; his grandchildren, Miranda, Brenden, Hayley and Danae; his daughter Jolena Conover (Brad) of Clive; his granddaughter Brooke; his son Justin Bassett (Megan) of Drakesville; his grandchildren, Eva, Paige and Brent; his great grandchild Koen Lambright; and his sister Beverly Andrews of Celina, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
