It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Hawkins of Drakesville, Iowa, born in Bloomfield, Iowa, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Ernest and Ada Maxine Grinstead Hawkins; his daughter Tasha Hawkins; his sister Sharon Reese; and his father-in-law Kenneth Batterson.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Batterson; his children, Tara Townsend (Josh) of Bloomfield and Chris Hawkins (Jenn) of Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Jaycee Townsend (Trevor Coffman), Dawson Townsend, Keeley Brewington and Kyle Brewington; his mother-in-law Elizabeth Batterson of Drakesville; and his brothers-in-law, Junior Reese (Sandy Foster) of Bloomfield, Jerry Batterson (Janice) of Bloomfield, Craig Batterson (Tammy) of Eddyville and Scott Batterson (Cande) of Drakesville. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family to be designated at a later date.
