With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Danny O'Brien of Drakesville, Iowa, born in Ottumwa, Iowa, who passed away on November 20, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel Leonard and Clara Croft O'Brien; his wife Norma Lee Forsythe; his grandchildren, Katie Duffield and Angel Hougland; and his children-in-law, Pat O'Brien and Dwight Hougland.

He is survived by : his children, Michael O'Brien of Corydon, David O'Brien (Nita) of Drakesville, Diana Olinger (Paul) of Ottumwa, Susan Hougland of Drakesville and Robin Licht (Noel) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and his siblings, Pat Swaim of Cedar Rapids, Kenneth Swaim (Jo Ann) of Drakesville, Connie King of Ottumwa and Sheila Hopkins (Ralph) of Bloomfield. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
