With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruth Brink (Dow City, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruth left this world on April 18, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Herrig and Florence Herrig (Tellgren); her husband John Brink; her grandson Luke Sigler; her great grandchild Tyson; and her siblings, Earl "Joe" Herrig, Maydell Brandt, Myrna Voege, Delbert "Louie" Herrig, Merlin "Sam" Herrig and Darrell.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Case (Dan) of Grimes, Janet Jackson (Dave) of Council Bluffs and Steve Brink (Mavis) of Hazel; and her grandchildren, Michelle Sigler (Dave), Travis Case (Jill), Kristen Weinfurter (Josh), Nick Jackson, Kellie Jackson (Arthur), Jeremiah Brink (Kaylene) and Maria Urlacher (Justin). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Huebner Funeral Home (1437 Broadway, Denison, IA 51442). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (100 Howard St, Dow City, IA 51528).
