With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Pearl Reitz (Dow City, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Pearl left this world on February 26, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Putnam and Pearl Marie Putnam (Muff); her siblings, Maurice "Buzz" Putnam and Mary Ellen Harre (Gene); her former husband Alan Folkens; her niece Pam Brosamle; and her great-nephew Gerard Folkens.
She is survived by: her husband Pete Reitz; and her children, Eric Folkens (Teri), Lee Folkens, Shannon Tobin (Tony), Kim Stieren (Mike), Reed Reitz (Gail Casteel), Brenda Reitz, Renee Vary (Steve) and Corrine Reitz (Howard Beam).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Huebner Funeral Home (1437 Broadway, Denison, IA 51442). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (217 N Clark St, Dow City, IA 51528, United States). A burial will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the Dow City Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Old School Caboose Museum in Dow City.
