With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Martha Higgins (Dow City, Iowa), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Martha left this world on January 14, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hunter and Fern Marie Hunter (Lomax); her husbands, Norman Malone and Ed Higgins; her children, Debra Soll and Dan Malone; and her sisters, Kathy Hunter, Bernice Lauritsen (Bernard) and Connie King (Herb).
She is survived by: her son George Malone (Julie) of Dow City; and her grandchildren, Jeff Malone, Keith Malone (Sarah), Will Soll, Derek Soll (Christy), Corey Malone (Alison), Richie Malone (Amy), Ashley Reisinger, Taylor Poston and Danielle Malone. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Huebner Funeral Home (1437 Broadway, Denison, IA 51442). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (110 Logan St, Dow City, IA 51528). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Dow City Cemetery.
