She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Smith and Florence VanTrump Smith; her husband Gary; her granddaughter Shyla Mertens; and her siblings, Don Smith and Patricia Hymes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Yates (Kenny) of Revere, Brenda Halls (Kenny) of Douds and Carla Mertens (Kurt) of Houghton, Iowa; her grandchildren, Khela Lovell, Stephanie Halls, Camilla DaVolt, John Quintin Kite, Darian Mertens, Dylan Mertens, Sierra Mertens and Makayla Mertens; her stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Tipton and David Yates; and her brother Delbert Smith (Mary). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, a short visitation will be at 10:00 a. m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Zion Bible Church and will continue until the time of the service with social distancing encouraged.
