James Casady Zeitler Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Casady Zeitler (Douds, Iowa), who passed away on September 9, 2022 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Edwin Zeitler and A. Marie Casady Zeitler; his siblings, Harold Zeitler and Cleone Wells; and his daughter-in-law Nancy Zeitler.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Gaffney; his sons, Fred Zeitler of Douds, IA, Jim Zeitler (Janet) of Milton, IA, Rodney Zeitler (Deborah) of Iowa City, IA and Matt Zeitler (Teri) of Douds, IA; and his grandchildren, Jacque Greene (Terry), Jana Zeitler, Shelly Koenig (Paul), Emily Odgaard (Chris), Angela Prevo (Kevin), Jay Zeitler, Katie Kinnamon, William Zeitler (Will), Elizabeth Zeitler (Nilay), Joseph Zeitler (Emily), Jeff Tedrow (Manisha), Ashley Zeitler (Drew), Dakota Albrecht and Makenzie Ostrander (Drew). He is also survived by 31 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
Memorial contributions in James' honor may be directed to the Douds United Methodist Church or to the Sunnyside Cemetery Association.
