It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elissa D. Chaney of Douds, Iowa, born in Fort Madison, Iowa, who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Sandra Hatfield; her husband John Chaney, Sr.; her stepfather James Finley; her daughter Jennifer Chaney; her sister Angel Becerra; and her boyfriend Raymond Williams.
She is survived by: her father Arnulfo Becerra; her children, Crystal Becerra of Fort Madison, John Chaney, Jr. of Davenport and James Chaney of Burlington, Iowa; her grandchildren, Kaylee Wynn, Madison Wynn, Ariana Padgett, Mallory Chaney, Lathan Chaney, Lexus Chaney and Angel Chaney; her sister Melissa Boyd (Mike) of Athens, Alabama; her stepbrother Mike Finley (Nina) of Port Richey, Florida.; her nephews, Tyler Trueblood and Orion Boyd; her niece Mariah Boyd; and her significant other Lisa.
