He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Hank" Schulte and Gertrude Schulte (Burke); his brother Gerald; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Eglseder, Verdine Berns and Marcia Link Prins (David).
He is survived by: his wife Janis Link; his children, Eric Schulte and Vicki Ahlstrom (Brian); his grandchildren, Shelby Trout (Jacob), Madisen Ahlstrom (John Sullivan) and Kiara Ahlstrom (Thomas Hadley); his great grandchild Cecilia "CeCe" Jane Trout; and his siblings, Doris Eglseder, Mavis Berns Mathes (Gary), Eileen Berns (Bernard), Ella Mae Collins (Bill), Rick Schulte (Sue), Rita Schulte and Wayne Schulte (Jean).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Veterans Memorial Hospital or St. Patrick's School, both in Waukon, or to a charity of choice.
