He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Schroeder and Mabel Schroeder (Weber); his brothers, Gerald and James Schroeder (Lynn); his brother-in-law Gerald Kiekbusch; and his nephews, Travis Eckelberg and Steve Kiekbusch.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy of Dorchester, Iowa; his stepsons, Buck Cordes (Sara) of Caledonia and Wade Cordes of Caledonia; his stepgrandchildren, Carter Mann, Riley Cordes, Alivia Cordes and Gavin Cordes; and his siblings, Roberta Kiekbusch of Winona, Minn, Janelle Eckelberg (Gary) of Dolliver, Iowa and Fred Schroeder (Lisa) of Garner, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Charlie's wishes were for donations to be made to St. John's Ev. Lutheran School in Caledonia, Zion Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund in Eitzen, or the Fred and Bertha Schroeder Scholarship Fund at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn.
