He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Post and Gertrude Post (Meendering); and his brother-in-law Alvin Van Bemmel. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Shana Doering (Brett) of Alcester, Bobbi Jo Johnson (Lance) of Ridgway, Colorado, Monte Post (Rachel) of Sioux Falls and Michael Post of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Gavin Doering (Jordyn Berg), Elly Doering, Shenia Doering (Gabe King) and Jaxon Doering; his siblings, Kenneth Post (Tracy) of Doon, Willard Post (Janet) of Doon and Wilma Van Bemmel of Doon; and his siblings-in-law, Evertt Van Maanen (Hedy), Mary Ann De Bey (Earl), Linda Kooima (Bruce), Marv Van Maanen (Melinda), Randy Van Maanen (Sue) and Brad Van Maanen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Doon American Legion.
