It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Faye Post of Doon, Iowa, born in Sioux Center, Iowa, who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Maanen and Alyda Van Maanen (Kraayenbrink); her husband Marvin Post; and her brothers-in-law, Willard Post and Alvin Van Bemmel.
She is survived by: her children, Shana Doering (Brett) of Alcester, Bobbi Jo Johnson (Lance) of Ridgway, Monte Post (Rachel) of Canton and Michael Post of Sioux Falls; her grandsons, Gavin Doering (Jordyn) and Jaxon Doering; her siblings, Evertt Van Maanen (Hedy), Mary Ann De Bey (Earl), Linda Kooima (Bruce), Marv Van Maanen (Melinda), Randy Van Maanen (Sue) and Brad Van Maanen; and her siblings-in-law, Kenneth Post (Tracy), Wilma Van Bemmel and Janet Post.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Doon United Reformed Church (608 Rice Ave, Doon, IA 51235). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Friends of Doon to be used for the community flowers.
