She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hanson and Amelia Hanson (Garness); her husband Walter Hanzen; her granddaughter Joni DeBoer; her siblings, Olaf, Henry Hanson, Grace Westall, Agnes Armstrong, Edna Johnson and Helen Leimbach; and her sister-in-law Viola Meiburg.
She is survived by: her children, Judy DeBoer (Jeffrey) of Rock Rapids, Daryl Hanzen of Doon, Pamela VanVoorst (Wes) of Orange City, Cherrie Hill of Rock Rapids and Jill Anderson (Randy) of Harrisburg; her grandchildren, Ginger Ebel (Andy) of Sutherland, Kristin Haan (Mark) of Sioux Center, Katie Wenell (Kyle) of Albert City, Megan Huisman (Logan) of Orange City, Rebecca Hill (Mark Anderson) of Harrisburg, Jackie Hill of Sioux Falls and Dan Hill of Rock Rapids, Iowa; and her brother-in-law Milo Hanzen of Inwood, Iowa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
