He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Aardema and Tracy Aardema (Zylstra); his wife Mary Ann; his brothers, Harold Aardema and Stanley Aardema; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Aardema and Louis Sneller.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca DeJong (Wayne) of Hull, Nathan Aardema of Doon and Teresa Aardema of Doon; his grandchildren, Mariah, Cody and Alec; and his sister Shirley Sneller of Rock Rapids, Iowa..
Memorials may be given to Northwest Iowa Protestant Reformed School in Doon.
