He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Keizer and Jennie Keizer (Hommes); his brothers, John Keizer and Bill Keizer; and his siblings-in-law, Fritz Winter, Gerrit Niemeyer, Bill Niemeyer, Henry Niemeyer, Hester Niemeyer, Grace Keizer and Pat Keizer.
He is survived by: his spouse Theo of Inwood, Iowa; his children, John A. Keizer (Sharon), Wanda Van (Kent), Janice Johnson (Lonnie) of Doon and Rosetta Van Engen (Randy) of Doon; his siblings, Fenna Winter of Rock Valley and Jim Keizer of Doon; and his sisters-in-law, Jen Keizer of Sheldon, Helene Niemeyer of Doon and Samantha Niemeyer of George. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
