She is survived by: her husband Michael "Mike" Schmidt of Donnellson; her children, Stanley Witek Jr of Donnellson, Jason Schmidt (Brenda) of Salem, Iowa, Andrea Froehlke (T. J.) of Montgomery, Illinois and Thomas Scruggs of Louisville; her sisters, Marcella Buchanan (Dan) of Lousiville, Linda Scruggs of Carmel, Indiana, Ruth Ann Scuggs of Stockbridge, Georgia, Pam Stutz of Massapequa and Patty Alvey of Louisville; and her grandchildren, Channing, Brian, Sarah, Collin and Grace.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Rheumatology Research Foundation.
