She is survived by: her parents, Lowell Allen and Elaine Allen (Anderson) of Cherokee, Iowa; her husband Dennis Janssen; her sons, Christopher Janssen (Andrea) of Urbandale and Nicholas Janssen (Shoko) of Tokyo, Japan; her grandchildren, Audrey Janssen, Noah Janssen, Aika Janssen and Ruth Janssen; and her sisters, Kathleen (Rick) of Omaha and Linda (Dennis) of St. Charles, Illinois. She is also survived by two nieces and seven nephews.
A memorial has been established in her memory for grandchildren's college funds.
