It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger Ort (Donnellson, Iowa), born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on May 24, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar A. Ort and Freeda E. Ort (Coombe); and his granddaughter Bethany A. Bynum. He is survived by: his wife Joy E. Ort (Schoemaker); his daughter Kimberly S. Bynum (Ort); his son-in-law Eddie; his sons, Jared A. Ort and Nathan K. Ort; his grandchildren, Jonah Bynum (Ashton), Mallory Bynum (Rebecca), Dakota Ort, Mayana, Ahava, Nataleah Ort, Jaxon Ort and Brooke Bynum; his brother Randy F. Ort (Charlene); and his nephew Schoemaker. He is also survived by siblings-in-law, and friends.
Because of Roger's love of the outdoors and our belief in the mission and vision of Lake Nixon Outdoor Center, Outdoor Preschool and Day Camp, the family requests that memorials be made to Lake Nixon, a ministry of 2nd Baptist Church-Downtown.
