He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVerne M. Faulkner and Karen L. Faulkner (Baum). He is survived by: his brother Christopher Faulkner (Stacey) of Eldridge, Iowa; his nephew Hoyt Faulkner; and his niece Amelia Faulkner. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory.
