He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Eldon and Thelma Ruth Faulkner (Hudson); his wife Karen L. Baum; and his son Michael. He is survived by: his son Christopher Faulkner (Stacey) of Eldridge, Iowa; his grandchildren, Hoyt Faulkner and Amelia Faulkner; and his sisters, Marcia Stiller (Gary), Sharon Dimit, Pat Millmier (Richard) and Donna Wasielewski (Debbie Smith).
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory.
