She is survived by: her husband Fred Thompson; her sons, Robin Willson (Celisa) of Dallas and Tim Thompson (Mendy) of Keokuk, Iowa; her grandchildren, Gavin, Abigail and Gracie; and her brother Gary Haeffner (Janet) of Donnellson, Iowa.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in her memory for Houghton Fire and Rescue or Clay Grove Cemetery.
