She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert A. Schreiber and Faye Schreiber (Halferty); her husband Charlie; her daughter Carol Buford; and her grandson Zachary Bevier.

She is survived by: her children, Jeff Buford (Wendy) of Donnellson, David Buford (Lori) of Bonaparte and Mary Allaman (Bill) of Oquawka; and her grandchildren, Travis Buford (Kara), Jill DeRoos (Troy), Tyler Buford (Megan), Justin Allaman (Bobby), Rachael Allaman, Nick Buford (Amanda), Danielle Homich (Ian) and Holly Bevier. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials have been established in her memory for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Embury Cemetery.
