Delmar John Hirschler Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2020, at the age of 89, Delmar John Hirschler (Donnellson, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin G. Hirschler and Viola C. Hirschler (Klingler); his daughter Jane Louise; his grandson Jacob Hirschler; and his brother-in-law Val Fuger.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Crompton (Edward) of Iowa City, Janice McCarty (Jerry) of Donnellson, Jill McCabe (Kevin) of New London and Jay D. Hirschler (Nancy Carroll) of Donnellson, Iowa; his grandchildren, Christopher Anderson (Sara), Jeremy McCarty (April), Jaime Mueller (Jason), Jared McCarty (Selah), Marcus McCabe (Shawna), Erin Garvey (Joe), Josh Hirschler (Callie) and Jason Hirschler (Alisa); his sister-in-law Deanna Fuger; and his close friend Jeanne Frueh. He is also survived by twenty-five great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in his memory for the Zion Mennonite Cemetery or Zion Mennonite Church.
