He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alvin Thede and Hertha Thede (Misfeldt); his wife Jane Marie Riessen; and his children, Alan Thede Sr. of Davenport, Glen Thede (Debbie) of Davenport and Patricia Puck. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Dixon Volunteer Fire Department in his memory.
