He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Edward and Leta Hickins (Bailey); and his siblings, Vernon Hickins, Chester Reasoner, Lurdene Anderson, Ruth Lawler and Clara DeYoung.
He is survived by: his spouses, Joyce Fisher and Carole Hickins of Dike, Iowa; his daughters, Kimberly Forsyth (Frank) of Phoenix and Kristine Vogt of Robins, Iowa; his stepchildren, James Rasmussen (Kathleen) of Des Moines, Iowa and Joni Kavner (Richard) of Detroit, Michigan; his sister Jackie Stevanus of Fayetteville; and his sisters-in-law, Gwen Hickins of Peoria and Charlotte Reasoner of Raymond. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the church or the American Cancer Society.
