It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maynard Petersen of Dike, Iowa, born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on July 6, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Albert and Dagmar Petersen (Holm); his wife Doris E. Abbas; and his siblings, Art, Milford, Ervin, Vernon Petersen, Gladys Bahlmann and Marian Bremer.
He is survived by: his son Curtis Petersen (Verlene) of Dike; and his grandchildren, Christa Lotts (Jeremy) of Cedar Falls, Lindee Flater (Mike) of Strongsville, OH and Kevin Petersen (Kylie Schlee) of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Private family services due to COVID-19 will be held Thursday, July 9th at Richardson Funeral Service with burial in Fredsville Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to American Heart Association or Fredsville Lutheran Church.
