We are sad to announce that on July 12, 2019, at the age of 86, Ilene Bernhardt (Dike, Iowa), born in Decorah, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alfred Halvorson and Inez Halvorson (Strom); her husband James "Jim" Bernhardt; her children, Jan Duffy (Bill) of Cedar Rapids, Joyce Willms (Larry) of Dike, Steve Bernhardt (Rhonda) of Shellsburg and Mary Bernhardt of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Kevin Willms (Laura), Jenny Pederson (Drew), Brett Bernhardt and Noah Shonka (Gina); her great grandchildren, Matthew, Katherine, Caroline Willms and Gage Shonka; her sister Ila Wangsness (Ken) of Allison; her stepsister Lorna Neil of Waterloo; her brothers-in-law, Rich Bernhardt of Lititz, PA and Don Bernhardt (Norma) of O'Fallon, MO; and her brother Hans Halvorson. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
