He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaf Lupardus and Effie Willits Lupardus; his wife Ruth Elaine Ruberbauer; his son Roger; and his brothers, Billy Gene and Dale.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jeanne McDermott of Cedar Falls and Janet McCoy of Tama, IA; and his friend Sarah Nyquist. He is also survived by five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
