He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Knudsen and Marian Knudsen (Sorensen); his brother Ralph; and his nephew Ralphie. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ruth Henricksen; his children, David Knudsen (Stephanie) of Dike, IA, Diane Burchard of Margate, FL, Dean Knudsen (Deonna) of Cedar Falls, IA and Darwin Knudsen (Gladys) of River Grove, IL; his grandchildren, Kim Koenigs (Justin), Jen Burchard, Alyse Harris (Jara), Erica Dickerman (Brad), Emmett Fritz (Josie), Kristy and Kathy Knudsen; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Landen Koenigs, Jaz, Jack Harris, Ted and Gus Dickerman.
Memorials may be directed in Don's name to his family, which will be directed to either the American Legion in Dike, Dike United Methodist Church or Dike Fire Department.
