She was predeceased by: her sister Chantyl McCoy; her grandmother Freda Toyne; and her parents-in-law, Enola Bruns and Raymond Bruns. She is survived by: her parents, Jerry Thompson and Jacqueline Thompson (Jones); her husband Dale Henry Bruns; her daughters, Brooke Spencer (Nick) of Stout, Morgan Corwin (Nick) of Cedar Falls and McKaila Gorby (Joseph) of Stout; her grandchildren, Zoey Spencer, Kaiden, Lennox Corwin, Laityn and Kendrix Gorby; her siblings, Chad Thompson (Kristi Post) of Boone, Sheila Thompson of Boone, Mandie Scott (Jamie) and Francie Aumua (Joe); her grandmother Mildred Steinick; and her siblings-in-law, Tammy Chandler (Chuck) and David. She is also survived by many aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews and one great-nephew.

Memorials may be directed to the family; any monetary donations will be donated in Chris's name to assist patients and families during their time of need.
